We are two Hong Kong families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👫🐶 who decided to apply for the Portuguese Golden Visa in 2019 and eventually move to Portugal. All along our application, we have been sharing our experience, tips and guides with other fellow Hong Kong families on our Facebook Page   港式葡逃走.

One of the major inquiries we usually receive is about fulfilling the A2 Level Portuguese language requirement of the Visa application. While there has been talk that this language policy might be squashed in the future, no solid announcement has been made so far. Moreover, we strongly believe that when starting a new life in another country, it is important to take the initiative to interact with locals and to immerse ourselves in the new culture. Learning the language is definitely a crucial key to appreciating this beautiful country and has always been our priority. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to speak Portuguese while getting a Portuguese passport?

However, when looking for suitable Portuguese courses, we had a hard time finding one that features European Portuguese🇵🇹, as most courses in the market focus on Brazillian Portuguese🇧🇷, which can be quite different😥. Also, it has been tough to find a course that would suit all our schedules📆. Private tutoring is of course an option, but not exactly the most affordable, especially when the tuition fee multiplies with every member of the family😵💸.

After a frustrating and unsuccessful search😔, we decided to take matters into our own hands and to create a comprehensive online language course that targets at teaching European Portuguese!💪🏻 After six months of closely working together with our amazing instructor from Lisbon👩🏻‍🏫
